Becoming a Nutritarian

Not Your Typical Diet

A typical diet usually contain a list of rules and regulations to restrict calories for weight loss. This is a problem, because when the focus is weight loss alone, results are rarely permanent. The focus of becoming a nutritarian is on nutrition and eating healthfully, which is an undisputed, yet often overlooked critical ingredient to any dietary success. Here, there is no carbohydrate, protein or calorie counting, portion-size measuring or weighing involved. In fact, you will eat as much food as you want, and still over time you will become healthier and will be satisfied with fewer calories.

A properly nourished body will automatically seek its ideal weight, without having to fight the scale or count calories. The fundamentals of this eating style are to increase high-nutrient foods in your diet and to ‘crowd out’ unhealthful low-nutrient foods. What does it mean to crowd-out? It means that as you eat more delicious, high-nutrient foods, you will be reducing your desire for fatty, processed and unhealthful products. When you change the foods you eat to better meet your nutrient needs, you feel better and it eventually becomes your preferred way of eating. To accomplish this, you will be presented with scientific, logical information that explains the connection between food and your weight and health. If you need to lose weight, this information will help you shed pounds naturally and easily, merely as a side effect of eating so healthfully.

Are you excited to be a nutritarian?

What is a Nutritarian? When you learn and practice this eating style, you can proudly call yourself a Nutritarian. A Nutritarian is someone who strives to consume and learns to prefer foods that are nutritious. Quite simply, a Nutritarian:

• Eats mainly high-nutrient, natural plant foods: vegetables, fruits, beans, nuts and seeds.

• Eats few, if any, animal products (one or two servings per week at most) and chooses healthier options in this food group.

• Eats almost no foods that are completely empty of nutrients or toxic for the body such as: sugar, sweeteners, white flour, processed foods and fast foods.

The Nutritarian way to health, longevity and weight loss focuses on healthy foods such as green vegetables, other colorful vegetables, fruits, beans, nuts and seeds. A Nutritarian is someone who learns to trust the amazing power of the body. If given half a chance, the body will heal itself—with the right food as the catalyst. When you learn how to become a Nutritarian, you will arm yourself with the biochemical sustenance that your body needs to be at its ideal weight and to live a healthy, empowered life. Finally, a Nutritarian lifestyle is an attitude, a mindset, a method that can be followed for a lifetime. As you begin your journey as a Nutritarian, you will be empowered to take control of your own health and life.
